I don't think he would have made it back to me. I might be a little higher on Rizzo than most... But I would rather get him in early round 5 than miss him in late round 6. He went 74th in the other mock, so 61 isn't TOO much of a reach. I just don't think he would have made it all the way to pick 80. Then I'm left with a bunch if 1B I don't fully trust.
im not knocking the pick. i actually like it. part of fantasy drafting is knowing your room and who you are competing against, weighing that against adp, roster positions / shortage / depth, etc. i was just using that as example of taking someone you like - early - since you know they wouldnt make it back... again, i applaud it...

not sure i love this selection, but heres to a much improved TOR line-up and Brett Lawrie learning to hit the ball up and on a line, instead of down into the damn ground. pretty sure his GB% was around 50%+ in an awful 2012 campaign...he plays ridiculously hard and fast, which is why he's likely to have at least 1 DL trip -- he's still uber talented and young. with 600 abs, I could see a 85/18/85/ .275 /18 type line (with a lot more upside potential)

I like Lawrie a lot. I think he will hit closer to .290-.300. He hits a lot of line drives, and when he hit the ball hard last year, it was to dead center over the centerfielders head and a double rather than a home run. I feel like if he could turn the doubles to dead center into home runs to left center, he could probably live up to the hype that he generated last year. He needs to choose the times he steals a base more wisely as well. He has the speed, just lacks the decision making.
I was really hoping Mauer would last to my pick then my backup plan Lawrie taken with the next pick After Gio flew off the board I only see 1 pitcher I trust to stay healthy and put up solid numbers in this middle upper class tier and that was C.C.
Team Izzy C Mauer 1 E5 2 Cano 3 ARam S Rollins CI LaRoche MI Altuve O Melky, Pagan, Morse, Hunter, Ruggiano SP Lee, Fister, Estrada, McCarthy, Lohse RP Chapman, Jansen, Frieri, Fujikawa Bench 1 Hart S Cabrera O Eaton U Ortiz P Marcum P Miller P Fernandez

I don't trust that hip after the workload he's had for the last 6-7 years.
After the pick I just made, I'm not sure if I should be questioning anything. #draftersremorse
