Arrgh. This team is old and my draft last year was, I'll admit, poor (we changed scoring cats and I didn't adjust well). Anyway, we keep five (no draft penalties) and I have three or four solid keepers, and then a bunch of whatever. The league is 6x6 with R, HR, RBI, SB, OBP, SLG for hitters, and SV,K HLD, ERA, WHIP, QS for pitchers.
Guys I'm sure I want to keep:
Adam Jones Josh Hamilton Jose Reyes Cole Hamels
Other guys:
Roy Halladay (maybe a trade here) Brandon Morrow Kevin Youkilis Chase Utley Josh Willingham Alex Avila
I think it's really about Halladay's value here, and what people think about Morrow's upcoming season with some newfound run support. I'm considering trading Halladay for a pick upgrade and keep Morrow.
the other 2: Halladay Utley (if healthy) Otherwise Youkilis
I only keep five total, so it's either Halladay or someone else. The answer is probably Halladay, but last season was disappointing enough that I'll give not keeping him some thought.
I keep Halladay as I think its probably worth taking a chance that he bounces back, especially considering your other options.
A thought, perhaps instead of trying to trade Halladay, trade Hamels for another bat and keep Halladay. You'll probably get more value from Hamels than Halladay.
In a league that only has 5 keepers, I don't love the idea of having to keep 2 pitchers.
