I'm thinking about Gonzalez, Kinsler, Beltre, Tulo, Simmons, Bautista, Bourn, Heyward, Hamels, Frieri (if he closes?), and maybe Wano (who I'm torn on).
The rest are marginal (easily replacable) - I'm thinking about giong with less keepers so I can have some extra draft picks in the earlier rounds where talent will still be available. We have some new owners that don't seem to know what they are doing because I've already seen their final keeper lists. I see that Joe Mauer, Evan longoria, Phil Hughes and Matt Moore are available so I'm thinking about keeping the above 10/11 and taking the extra picks and hope to snag one or two of these studs if they are thrown back (if Mark will allow that). Jennings a declining Cruz and lester have seriously let me down...I won this thing two years ago. What hurt me this past season was the lack of closers and missed the draft due to an emergency.

The best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be!
I like the idea of dropping Cruz and Jennings for a shot at the players you mentioned. You can always redraft those guys quite easily, I doubt they'd be top picks. I might take a chance on Waino though, depends on availability of pitchers in the draft.

Thats 12, I would definitely keep Marte, that kid can be special, but I worry that Simmons is a much better player than he is fantasy helper. I do not know if he can hit enough to be relevant and he doesnt show much pop. I am very much against keeping closers, they can be acquired on the waiver wire. Lester could be an interesting option but if others are available I would definitely move on from him. I would also definitely go get Longo if that is possible, I would even drop Beltre, who is getting up in years and cannot stay healthy either, in order to do so.

I'd dump Simmons and Freiri and keep Wainwright (for sure!) & Jennings. I'd be okay with potentially losing the other guys for the potential of landing Longo, Mauer or Moore.
I would keep Wainwright and Jennings for sure. As far as the picks go, is there some other benefit to having more than the extra one pick to get one of those guys? Like is there a point on not keeping three guys as opposed to leaving one keeper slot open? With that said, I would be okay dumping Simmons and Frieri back if the extra picks benefit you.
