I'd probably keep Stanton over Fielder, though they're close enough that you should just go with whomever you prefer. As for the Lee trade, if you think you can make it work, go for it. His salary seems a tad high for a SP, but he's one of the better ones, no question. It really depends on your strategy attacking the auction as to whether it's a good move to make.If you feel good grabbing a bunch of value guys and not having much cap open heading into the draft, do it.

He needs an ace I guess I'd go for it. Admittedly I'm not all over it. I'd only do it if you know there will be little to no ace level pitching available AND there are some value picks like a Minor/Beachy/Medlen/Harvey etc type in the draft you can round your staff out with.
The best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be!

So if I traded Rios for Lee here's probably what my keepers would look like:

Stanton or Fielder
Felix
Lee
Beltre
Zobrist
Alvarez
McDonald
Buerhle
Kimbrel
Street
Dunn

11 players for 225. Leaving me 35 dollars for 21 players. Or I could throw back Zobrist,McDonald and Buerhle to save some cash. Any advice? How do my keepers look with Lee?

I'd probably throw back Buerhle, McDonald, Wandy and Street. I think $11 for an injury-prone closer probably isn't a luxury you can afford. If you think his value is worthwhile in your setup, I'm sure you can swing a trade to cut salary and grab a little talent.

So, Daullaz, are you saying I should do the deal for Lee and throw back those guys you were talking about?

I do the deal for Lee. I would feel comfortable with having Lee and Felix as my two studs and then grabbing a couple of value pitchers in the draft and hoping I get one or two to pan out.

I throw back McDonald. To me he got exposed at the end of the year and I would rather save the couple of bucks for the draft.

I would not make that deal as I'm not big on paying in the high 30's for a SP, even if it's Cliff Lee. I'm a Phils fan and can see us having a mediocre year, which you saw affected Cliff's wins last yr. I know it's only one category but still...

And Team B by a lot, even though you already decided on that.
