Keeper Thoughts

Postby rcrascals28 » Thu Jan 17, 2013 11:48 am

In a 10 team NL-only keeper league, allowed to keep 8, $260 cap, 5X5 scoring.

At this point I am going to be keeping the following

P Madison Bumgarner $6
P Jason Motte $6
P Sergio Romo $6
OF Jason Heyward $16
OF Matt Kemp $31

Need to pick 3 from the following:
2B/OF Emilio Bonifaccio $6
1B Adam LaRoche $7
OF Melky Cabrera $6
1B/OF Tyler Colvin $6
1B/OF Logan Morrison $6
OF Justin Upton $32
3B Juan Francisco $6
P Cory Luebke $8
P Jon Niese $11
P Kenly Jansen $11

My Minors Keepers are (allowed to keep 4):
Christian Yelich
Delino DeShields

Need to pick 2 of the following:
Marcell Ozuna
Ryan Wheeler
James Darnell
Junior Lake
Arodys Vizcaino
Sebastion Valle

Adam LaRoche $7
Justin Upton $32

For the third keeper I would go with Bonifacio or Niese. If you are allowed to use Bonifacio still, even though he is in the AL, and he has 2B eligibility in your league, I think that might be a nice cheap keep at a shallow position. If not I like Niese this year, but I am not sure if $11 is cheap for starting pitching in your league.

Melky Cabrera and Bonifacio are in the AL now so I'm guessing they aren't options. If they are take Melky over Morrison.

Thanks, I had LaRoche at the top & was debating about the last one. I was also waiting to see where Upton ended up. I may be able to get him for cheaper, not sure what his value will be.

Upton and LaRoche are the easy ones. I could see you going with LoMo. I liked what I saw from Niese last season though. I would go with him.

I'd also go LaRoche, Upton and Niese. Depending on your rules for players moving to the AL, I'd then look to trade Upton has fast as possible while still getting a package worth his value.

Upton and Laroche for sure and I would make Luebke my third.
Minors I would go with James Darnell and Sebastian Valle.

Help with mine? viewtopic.php?f=26&t=453501
