If you had to choose betwwen Andy Pettitte and Chris Carpenter, who would you pick? I know both are up there in age and are coming off health issues, but which will have better value in 2013?
I was leaning towards Pettitte until I learned he will be participating in The WBC. I think this is an insane move on his part concidering he's coming off an injury shortened season and was out of baseball for 1 year prior to that.

They are both old, but I would take Carp by a mile. I don't like ANY NYY SP. Let see you have the brutally strong AL EAST, TOR is 5x last year and the softball fence in right field! I have never even wanted CC.
