20-team Keeper Help - WHIR

Postby stlcards02 » Wed Jan 16, 2013 4:05 pm

So, I'm in a 20-team ESPN points league where we keep 8. I have it nailed down pretty well, but would like some input and on some possible trade scenarios. Here's the guys vying for the spots:

Kershaw(24.8), Longoria(4.6), Andrus(3.8), Darvish(20.7), Encarnacion(5.2), Bruce(4.4), Ellsbury(3.9), Holliday(4.5), Adam Jones(4.4)

A little background about our scoring. Generally strategy amongst teams is to horde pitching as there's no inning or starts limit, so there's very rarely guys to stream. We count QS over wins, so team has little bearing. Total bases are 1,2,3,4 pts respectively, 3 pts for a steal, 2 for RBI, 1 for a run, and -0.5 for a K. Pitching is 3 for an inning and 1.2 per K, and pts for CG and SHO. In parenthesis are each player's scoring average per game/appearance.

really torn on who to try and trade. Got a bunch of guys that have their share of question marks. Any insight on what you guys might do?

I have an idea on an offer, but what would be a fair offer for David Wright and Goldscmidt? And would they even be huge upgrades anyway?

EDIT: This may be a possible offer on teh table: I trade Ellsbury, Andrus, J.Montero for Wright and Godlschmidt. Thoughts? He may also ask for Bruce in place of one of the three.

I would attempt to move Ellsbury & another player (prefer EE) for an upgrade somewhere. If that falls through I would just dump Ellsbury. I don't trust him anyway.

I have a different plan, keep Ellsbury, hope for a strong start and then trade him to one of the many guys that fell in love with him in the past. Trade/dump Holliday. Just remember, it was not long ago when Ellsbury was a 1st round flash in the pan and everyone will remember that if he starts out hot in any way at all.

I would try and package Ellsbury and Darvish for Wright. That might get it done especially if the other guys likes Ells.

thanks for your help with mine

Ells and Darvish for Wright is a legit offer. Maybe toss in a top 3 round pick and maybe see if you can squeeze Goldy out of it. Go for it.
