H2H Auction Keeper - $300 Salary Cap
6x6 (OPS and HOLDS extra categories)
Have been offered a $3 Anibal Sanchez (I can re-sign for up to 5 years at that price) for my Michael Morse signed at $3 through 2015
Below is my current roster....SP is my weakness, but should I give up on Morse now or wait to see where he lands....he is kind of my fallback for OF as well, in case of injury...but I could likely acquire something there. Thoughts?
C -
1B - Prince fielder $27
2B - Robinson Cano $23
SS - Jose Reyes $21
3B - Will Middlebrooks $2
OF - Josh Willingham $9
OF - Allen Craig $5
OF - Carlos Beltran $13
OF – Matt Holliday $48 (I know...high....I resigned him for 1 year because there are NO bats out there, and I have the $$)
UTIL - Troy Tulowitski $21
UTIL - Joey Votto $19
BN – Adam Laroche $5
BN - Michael Morse $3
SP - Matt Harrison $6
SP - Adam Wainright $12
SP - Chris Sale $3
SP - Hiroki Kuroda $2
SP - Bronson Arroyo $2
P – Gavin Floyd $2
P – Chris Tillman $2
P - Sergio Romo $3
P - Jason Motte $2
P - David Robertson $2
P - Mitchell Boggs $2
Minors
Taylor Guerreri $2
Oscar Taveras $2

Always worth trading for guys who will start for you rather than hang on to them as emergency plays. You can find guys that can fill in for you if you have an injury.
I am with MaudDib on this one. High on Morse not sold on Anibal. Instead of doing the deal why not explore a trade of one of your starting bats for a better pitcher and then slot Morse into your starting lineup.
If you had to pay $48 for Holliday because there are no quality bats out there, you should be able to do a little better in a trade than Anibal Sanchez

That's kind of what I was thinking....but then again UNLESS he is traded he doesn't even start in Washington.
Can I assume he will definitely get traded? You're right though...i might just want to wait and see before undervaluing him. No hurry i guess.

I follow the sentiment of making the deal, but that's without trying toexplore some other deals. I think the trade fits what you need at the moment, but would agree on trying to trade for a quality starter and slotting Morse in your lineup. Good luck!

I would pass. Then I would cut ties with Holiday and take that $48 and what ever else $ you have and load up on SP's

I like Morse better than Anibal but I think your team needs the starter more than the bat so I would make the deal.
please help..I need it!

Now we know Morse is in Seattle, not a great venue but he will for sure play if he stays healthy.
I agree with getting rid of the 48 P for someone better than Sanchez
