CBS Sportsline. 10 team NL ONLY league. 3rd season. Openings right now. $94 is the annual pot fee. All the money gets paid out creatively at season's end. The new owners will draft apart the vacant rosters to set up keepers as soon as the spots are full. Deep rosters.

Again, you are NOT inheriting a vacant roster. If you take a team, you and the other new owners will be drafting apart the vacant rosters as soon as we fill the spots. This draft will be just you and the other new GMs drafting those vacant teams apart. This will be the basis for your keepers before we all draft in March.

This is a Head to Head 5 x 5 ten team league. I run the league on CBS SPORTS and use PayPal but you do not have to have PayPal to play. I will work with you if you prefer checks or money orders.

Player Pool: NL Players only.
Positions: C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, MI, CI, OF, U, SP and RP.
Eligibility: Players are eligible at their primary position, plus positions they've played 20 games last year or 10 games this year.

• WEEKLY Lineups are set once for the start of each period.
Head to Head game weeks run Monday to and through Sunday nights.

Head-to-Head, Individual Categories System.
Scoring based on total stats each period.
Scoring for Batting Categories
BA - Batting Average
HR - Home Runs
R - Runs
RBI - Runs Batted In
SB - Stolen Bases
Scoring for Pitching Categories
ERA - Earned Run Average
K - Strikeouts (Pitcher)
S - Saves
W - Wins
WHIP - Walks + Hits / Inning

So, in a typical week, you might go 6-4 against an opponent, then the next week you go 7-3 against another opponent head to head.
In the standings, after two weeks, the site would show your record as overall 13-7

KEEPERS:
The fantasy game here is to build a dynasty/keeper baseball team utilizing keeper players and your best skills and knowledge as a team owner.
The model for the league is basically the old time reserve clause format.
Keep 12 players plus 4 farm team players (total of 16)
There is no draft or cost or time limit on your keepers. A player can be yours forever until you cut him or trade him.

Starting lineups will consist of:

* 2 Catchers
* 1 First Baseman
* 1 Second Baseman
* 1 Shortstop
* 1 Third Baseman
* 1 Middle Infielder (2B/SS)
* 1 Corner Infielder (1B/3B)
* 1 Utility Player (any offensive position)
* 5 Outfielders
* 9 Pitchers

It's a ten team keeper league
We are starting our third year
But I am 50 years old and have been running fantasy baseball leagues since 1982 so I know what I am doing and our rule book is rock solid.
This fall we lost four GMs so the vacant roster keeper draft will be a private draft, where the four new GMs will draft apart the four vacant rosters (marked as such right now at our CBS league website) to get their keepers....this 4 gm private keeper draft will occur once I find the four new GMs and it will occur at a time and date that is best for the four of them. (My guess is we will have this draft mid to late February?)

The big draft, once all 10 GMs have their keepers, then we have a big draft at the CBS website to draft all the players left over...and all the players not on rosters....
This draft will be Sunday March 10th at 6 pm east coast time.

Been in this league for 2 years and it's very well run. Went from 7th place my first year to second place so there's definitely mobility. Great payouts. Just a legit, straight forward, fun keeper league.

I have also been in this league since it was created and also recommend it. Chris and Jay run a good league, listen to ideas and keep everyone well informed. I also found this league on this forum.

I won the league in 2011 and then missed the playoffs last year, so while it is a deep format you could certainly win in your first year.

I have been in another league (AL Only) that is ran by Chris and recently joined this League. Chris is very organized, attentive, and does a great job running the League. You can't find any better League's than ones run by Chris and Jay - Highly recommended!
