Keeper help...Fast WHIR

Postby timozbuck » Tue Jan 15, 2013 10:23 pm

12 team mixed roto, 5x5

We start 5 OF's plus 2 util

I'm keeping Cabrera (1st rd pick)
Kemp (2nd)
Headley (22nd)
RA Dickey (26th)

I'm torn between Justin Upton and Pujols for a 3rd pick...I'm leaning Upton since we start 5 OF's and believe he is more like the 2011 player than the injured 2012 version. Pujols is on the backside of his career but plays in a stacked lineup.

Am I overthinking this and ignoring the no-brainer option of Pujols????

I really think you have to keep Pujols here. He is still a stud and will still give you 300, 35, 100. Upton won't at least not yet.

please help

pujols for a 3rd round pick is a no brainer, who knows were justin will end up being traded.

I wouldn't keep Dickey, you'll have plenty of SP options later

I think Dickey will regress some but keeping him for a 26th round pick is still excellent value. Hs been great for 1.5 seasons in a row now.

26th round though ...

I would need to keep Pujols over Upton. I would try my best to re-draft him though.

If you end up with Miggy, Kemp, and Poohole with your first 3 picks you're doing a lot better then most teams. Poohole in the 3rd is a no-brainer imo.

You are over thinking this, Albert is the only pick here. If you need Of's later, trade for them. Look at it like this, roto is simply accumulating stats, how do you accumulate the most? With the best players. That is Albert.

I would go with Pujols. I have owned Upton the last 3 years and he is very frustrating.
90% of my posts are from complaining about my team :)

Now, I'm thinking of keeping Upton for a 4th rounder.
I'd have the following keepers:
1st rd: Cabrera
2nd rd: Kemp
3rd rd: Pujols
4th rd: Justin Upton

Need 1 more of the followng:
Altuve for a 20th rd pick
Headley for a 22nd rd pick
RA Dickey for a 26th rd pick.
Kimbrel for a 5th rd pick
Leaning Headley. Leave a link and I'll help.
