World Baseball Classic effect on fantasy baseball?

what effect does the World Baseball Classic have on fantasy baseball?
I can't remember from 4 years ago.
hitters maybe not effected at all?
wouldn't this effect pitchers? maybe with pitchers going harder for the classic before they would actually be ready?

Correct. I am less likely to draft pitchers that participate. No impact at all for hitters, IMO. If anything it helps them.

Probably bad for anyone that participates since they are more likely to get hurt or to wear out late in the season. I wouldn't tend to worry about it for hitters. I don't like pitchers being in it at all though.

i think for the most part people get too overconcerned about the WBC and its effects. I like watching it a lot more than spring training.

Is it just me or is the USA roster very underwhelming--particularly their starting rotation? Dickey, Vogelsong, D Holland, Medlen. Very poor rotation, IMO.

I think it may hurt pitchers a little and it probably helps the batters a little. But I don't know, seeing that we have only had 2 prior classics, whether there is really any proof of its effects on players. The sample size is too small

And from a fan point, the WBC does give us some watchable baseball in March. On a random tuesday in the second week of March I am not interested in watching a Philles Giants split squad game, but Ill watch some WBC games.
