Trade for Niese or McDonald? WHIR

Postby Ragoczy » Fri Jan 11, 2013 1:24 pm

AL/NL combo with quality starts, wins, era, whip and K's. Need some pitching. Offered McDonald with cheap contract for Maybin, thinking of countering for Niese who has the same contract as McDonald. Niese > McDonald? Is Maybin for either good? I already have Stanton, Bautista, C Gomez and B Gardner in the OF so I have speed. Thanks!

All things being equal, I prefer Niese by alot. Niese is younger and the more polished pitcher. They also trended in opposite directions last year, with Niese getting stronger the last two months, while McDonald seemingly got exposed and fell apart. I like Niese.

It appears I am in the minority here, but I like McDonald over Niese.
