I felt like I perpetuated that SP run. I saw we've got another bite, perhaps more will come.

I had Upton, Beltre, Heyward, Verlander, Felix going into my pick / the turn.

I figured Felix is the last of the big four pitchers. Those with elite records behind them. There's still a couple pitchers on the board, and I figure Strasburg is not in that category, but can be after this year. Obviously he has number 1 upside.

While I'm not super excited taking a pitcher, I felt the pool of hitters left either has major question marks or deficient in at least one category. I can find another Matt Holliday in the upcoming two-three rounds, just without the track record and slightly more risk. But Felix (barring injury) is a lock to have a solid if not spectacular season.

I felt like I had to take Strasburg there. I think the Nats handled him properly last year and we'll get silly numbers out of him this year.
Here's the pitch on the way, a swing and a belt! Left field! Way back! BLUE JAYS WIN!

Yeah, I wanted Stras right here.

The Cardinals and Giants agree with you.

Perhaps that was too soon to take Cespedes, but I am expecting BIG things as long as he can stay on the field. At the begining of 2012 I didn't like what I saw from him with the long swing. His plate discipline improved more over the course of the season than I remember seeing from anyone else. I am sold on him.

Was hoping I could sneak Harper to the 4th when I took EE in the 3rd. Nice pick, Dave.

Thanks. I was debating jumping in on the SP run myself, and could have if I took Harper and an SP instead of Butler and Harper. I have a soft spot in my heart for big ol Billy Butler though and went with two hitters at the turn. Time to sit back and wait now ha.

I was also hoping Harper would fall to me in the 4th.

Almost took Harper over Holliday lol. The upside is obviously huge, but I decided to play it safe with the veteran.

I might be in the minority, but I'm not taking Harper any earlier than the 5th or 6th round.
