Lawrie and Cueto for J. Upton and Miley?

Postby dgstrat » Mon Jan 07, 2013 11:45 pm

Hey guys. was offered Lawrie and Cueto in this trade in a 16 team keeper league. SP and 3B are pretty tough slots in this league. Seriously considering it. Does upton have enough upside to not do this? Was going to drop miley anyway. Thanks.

If you really need to depth I could see you considering it. I personally would not give up on Upton. The guy is potentially a top 15 talent,

I would hold onto Upton. Its a deep league so I think its a fair offer, but even in a deep league I think I would still want to get the best player back in a deal like this. Upton last year would have been a first round pick in a 16 team league. I don't think I am willing to give up on that potential just yet, especially since Upton did play much better in the second half of last year.

Agreed. Getting Lawrie would help take the sting out but Upton can be a stud. I am also really hoping that Arizona deals him to Texas. He needs a change of scenery and Texas could use his bat.

I would stick with Upton. Still teasing owners with all that potential that he has.

Please help?

I also like Upton. He is still young with a higher ceiling than Lawie. 3B is always shallow, but I would stay with Upton, a change of scenery may be coming and it may help.
