Im wanting to run a fantasy baseball league for 2013. I would really like to do an auction draft, 10-12 teams, and play head-to-head. Im looking for ideas...... please help.
Should I use a software?
Auction Draft format....?
Positions/players on roster? Seperate bench draft?
Thanks

If it's your league you can do whatever you want. You just need to find a site that will accomodate your settings/format. Visit CBS sports, ESPN, Yahoo and others, see what they are offering and make your desision. You sound like someone that is very inexperienced in this, you may want to play in a few leagues before deciding to start your own.

You might want to post in commish corner for more input as well, as a potential new commish you can get some additional general feedback.
Only do auction if you have a lot of "hardcore" fans, auction is better as you assemble your whole team as you wish with the same equal tools as everyone else rather than being reliant on a draft order but can be tougher for casual folks. A draft is more user friendly to casuals. if you do go auction, itd be fine to have auction for starts and quick draft for bench or auction everyone.
9 hitters, 9 pitchers and a 6-7 person bench I would throw out there. If it's a Draft, draft the whole team.
Check all those sites listed above, if its a simple league go yahoo..more complex check out the other sites

Also, the more casual it is - KISS (Keep It Simple, Stupid) in general.
If you have people who are more into it, more experienced you can vary up all kinds of things.
And good luck!
