12 team 30 man roster H-H league with the usual categories as well as Ks/9, Appearances, Holds and Hits and BBs for the hitters. C.I. and 2 Utility Players and 3 SP, 3 RP, 3 P. I have to choose from: Mike Trout- no question keeper Stephen Strasburg - no question keeper Joey Votto- no question keeper Chris Sale- probable keeper and the following: Salvador Perez C Brett Lawrie 3B Pablo Sandoval 3B Zach Grienke SP Ryan Dempster SP
I am leaning toward keeping Sandoval and Grienke with the top 4 but am still torn about Perez and Lawrie. Injuries to Sandoval, Lawrie, Votto and a bunch of others killed me last year so I will be drafting in the middle of the order (Snake draft) What do you think?

I take it that you keep 6. You didn't clarify. I would keep both Lawrie and Sandoval over the others and use my first 3 picks on SP, SP, Closer or SP, Closer, Closer. You may get lucky and get back Grienke or Perez, maybe both. You would not get back Lawrie or Panda if you let them go.
I wouldn't even consider Perez. He's not in these guys' class just yet. I would go with Greinke and Sandoval. I'm not sure if I trust Lawrie as a keeper. Why is everyone so high on him anyway?

People are high on him because he has good potential to be a 20/20 player in 2013 and he's still a few years away from his prime. With the lineup the Jays have next season, his R and RBI are sure to increase. How many 20/20 players did you have on your rosters last season?

Potential is nice, but I would keep Greinke before Lawrie. I prefer 200 high quality National league innings in a nice pitchers park in a weak hitting division.
I have a question on injuries with both Pablo and Lawrie. They have both missed a lot of time the last 2 years and I don't know if that will be indicative of their future health. I do think that Sandoval can turn into a 4 category stud (no steals) but he could just as easily eat himself to the bench. Lawrie didn't show much last year to justify my having kept him but he did show a lot of promise a few years ago. Does anyone else think that Sale is capable of turning in another year like last year?
Nailed it. As a previous owner of Pablo, I know his numbers all too well. He has talent, but is inconsistent, is regularly hurt and his weight issues are a real concern/problem. I feel that Pablo is going to be overvalued in general this year because people will be looking at his postseason numbers and be lured back into the "potential of Pablo".
I'd go Lawrie no doubt.
I would also keep Greinke before Sale, but you are in the position to keep both, so definitely do that.
