Keeper Help

Postby gkitt80 » Tue Dec 18, 2012 3:07 pm

**Updated to include entire list of keepable players

12 Team Rotisserie League
$260 draft budget
Batting Categories: BA, HR, RBI, SB, R
Pitching Categories: ERA, K, S, WHIP, W
Starting Pitchers (no delineation between types of pitchers): 9
Starting Offensive Players: C,C,1B,2B,3B,SS,MI,CI,OF,OF,OF,OF,OF,U
Bench Spots: 7
Player pool: ANA,ATL,BAL,BOS,CHW,CIN,FLA,KC,LA,LAA,LAD,MIA,MIN,NYM,NYY,PHI,PIT,STL,TB,TEX,TOR and WAS

We can keep 2 players and 1 "K Keeper" (I will note these please with a K next to their price). We are not required to keep anyone. First year kept, cost is the same as the prior year, subsequent years price goes up by $10. All of the players noted below would be kept for the first time, so no need to add $10 this year.

Options are:
Jose Lobaton $1
Jarrod Saltalamacchia $8
Mark Reynolds $18
Elvis Andrus $29
Jose Reyes $32
Mark Texiera $27
Desmond Jennings $17
BJ Upton $18
Daniel Murphy $8
Luke Scott $1
Placido Polanco $1
Bryce Harper $9
Fernando Rodney $2
Matt Harrison $1
Billy Butler $13
Mark Buerle $4
Jonathan Niese $3
Scott Downs $1
Jeff Niemann $5

Rajai Davis K$4
Kris Medlen K$5
Travis Snyder K$7
Domonic Brown K$8

Appreciate the help. Leaning toward Bryce, Rodney, and Medlen, but 40+ SB from one player (Rajai Davis) has me hesitant to lock those picks down. Thoughts? Happy to provide insight on your thread, just leave a link. Thanks!

Are those the only options?

I'd keep Harper, Butler and Medlen

Harper is a lock
Medlen for your K

Butler or BJ
I prefer BJ, but i could see Butler

No way on Rodney or Davis.

;-D I agree with you here as well, more in line to say BJ because I'm sure you'll have several other options for 1B

Harper and Medlin for certain. Butler is a strong possibility, and I would also consider BJ Upton.

I think Greg Walker will finally solve BJ Upton's problems.
I'd go with Medlen, Upton, Butler, and Harper
A no brainer to me.

Thanks guys, appreciated it. Just curious, why no love for Rodney @ $2?

Probably the general disregard for keeping closers. Also, for me, I don't see Rodney repeating and those other options are pretty good.
