Pujols, Trout AND Hamilton. That is pretty ridiculous.

That is a lot of money for Hamilton. Great player but that second half of his scares me a little. But still a huge blow to the Rangers with that bat going to the Angels.

I'd still rather have Miggy + Fiedler. Maybe even Votto + Bruce if you think they haven't hit their ceilings.

That's a big hit to the Rangers. It will be interesting to see if they make some reactionary moves.

Haha...

Trout
Aybar
Pujols
Hamilton
Trumbo

1. They really need Robbie Cano. Something just doesn't look right here.

2. Is mike trout going to score 160 runs?

3. Trumbo RBIs.

4. Career year for the machine, comin right up.

I would have just signed Swisher rather than overpay for Hamilton, I think. A lot of risk in giving a long-term contract like this.

As for how good this makes the Angels, don't forget that Torri Hunter was more valuable than Hamilton last season. He's basically just going to be replacing that production. Greinke and Haren are also gone now. I'd expect them to be a playoff team, of course, but I'm not sure I'd call them WS favorites or anything.
