Laws almighty. Beyond Dickey and Beachy, I haven't a clue.

I agree with kaiser, but I'd add Headley to the group that's easy to keep. After that, I went with LaRoche because of his 60-70 extra base hits and power looks like it's more valuable than speed in this league. Last one was a complete stab in the dark, but I went with Chris Johnson. I think moving to Arizona can only help his output. I'm a little concerned by the Chavez signing, but hopefully Towers will realize that Johnson doesn't really need a platoon partner and put Johnson in the lineup everyday. The problem there is that it loads up your CI spots. Even assuming you have a 1B, a 3B, and a CI position, you're all set with some pretty blah players (Headley being the exception).
Lucky's points are valid, and Chris Johnson is a good speculative pick. I agree that Headly at $7 is a pretty easy choice. I almost picked Laroche, too, instead of Clippard, but since saves and holds are cats, I thought I should throw in a very solid reliever.

The last pick was tough (between Pestano & Doumit). This would put Doumit at the 360-380 range of a normal draft (100 players frozen & 13 rounds of 20 picks). That's worth it to me over a reliever.

I really hope you'll have a chance to draft elite players because this list isn't very inspiring for a successful 2013 campaign.
That said, definitely Dickey in the 14th, Beachy in the 13th, Headley in the 7th and LaRoche in the 12th rounds of a 20-man league. For the 5th, I might take a flier on Andrew Cashner. I really like his upside, especially while pitching at PETCO.

This is probably where I am as well.

The way this league is set up is that you knock 5 rounds off the original draft position to keep a player. That means rounds 1-5 are ineligible to keep (I had Cano, Holliday, Bourne, Hart and Cuddyer who are ineligible and a few that were no brainer non-keepers: Alexei in the 3rd, Bumgarner in the 1st, CJ Wilson in the 2nd). It was a squad good enough for 3rd place.
My main thought was Brandon Beachy (TJ surgury) and Chris Johnson, if they would be keeper quality. Thanks for everyone's help!
You'd be wasting a slot on beachy for half the season but in such a deep league man. R.A. Dickey for sure Adam Laroche for sure Chase Headley for sure Brandon Beachy I Guess
I wouldn't keep a 5th.
The best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be!
