I see 3 real weaknesses. 1) Eric Young he'll get you some steals and a decent avg, but that's it. He's serviceable though 2) Could use 1 more good RP. 3) Mo Vaughn - very suspect, but may be better - he's a wait and see.

As far as trading goes I think you'd have to give up one of your good pitchers to get a decent 2b and in my mind that isn't worth it. Also, Durzao is a wait and see at 1st, but I think he may be huge in Oakland

I appreciate the reply, Chaindog. Fernando Vina is still available on my FA wire and seems to be the best option to pick up for 2b at this time (provided some hot rookie doesn't come along). He is consistant and will get alot of ab's. I admit to nervousness about Vaughn and Durazo both. I was also thinking of maybe offering Odalis Perez for a decent closer. Too much time until opening day - I am going nuts. haha

Some of the worst deals made are before the season even starts. Sit back and see what the team does for a few weeks. Then trade someone off to a hot start for a slow starting proven stud. These sort of deals happen every year. Don't be the guy trading away proven players before the season starts because you have the itch.

I would not worry too much about your 1B position. I think one of those two will have a fine year. Maybe see if you can get a better player to fill your UT slot though. Just a thought.
