Not really. Last year we had Napoli and Young in the DH/1B mix. Things will take shape by February/March.
Olt certainly seems like the most likely player that wont be with the Rangers organization come Opening Day.
Olt has a good glove, as does Beltre. Therefore Olt has more value other teams (without entrenched 3rd baseman) and should be traded.

???...your comment mirrors mine.
Perhaps I took your comment the wrong way. It's just more clear of what Olt's role will be w/o Young on the roster. Whether he's with Texas or somewhere else he's going to carry some sleeper value on draft day.

I agree with you. I hope he gets traded to the Rays, I believe he would supplant Loney as the everyday 1st baseman which would cement his role as a full time player. If he goes to the Mets, they would have to get creative with Ike Davis at 1B and no DH. If he stayed with Texas, it would be a much better lineup to hit in and better home park but playing time would be uncertain.

Hasn't that been one of the big stumbling blocks to an Upton trade? The reports I've read has said the Rangers are refusing to part with either Andrus or Profar. The D'backs are in desperate need of help on the left side of the infield, so I don't buy the hype that they're looking for SP help in a trade. No matter how much the organization might have "soured" on Bauer, he's still extremely valuable and relatively unproven (and as someone who saw him pitch a few times in Reno last season, I'm not sure what anyone might be sour about). If the Rangers continue to refuse to deal one of Olt, Profar, or Andrus, I just don't see them making a deal for Upton.

I think that in a perfect world the Rangers would’ve preferred Upton & Grienke to Hamilton. Maybe now they get desperate and decide to make some bold moves. That could mean Andrus to Arizona for Upton, Olt to the Mets for Dickey & bringing Hamilton back. The doors are closing for them to make some moves (outside of Hamilton).
