Possibly Hicks. Benson will be part of the competition in the spring. They could go with Mastroianni if they want Hicks in the minors to prevent super 2. there's also a chance that they sign a mediocre vet but I don't think they will.
Hicks - >50% Mastroianni - >25% Benson - <25% - he was dreadfully awful last year but he was injured and is older than Hicks.
I hope you're right about Hicks. I've got him at $5 in an expensive AL only Ultra league but I've also got Wil Myers, Xander Bogaerts and Taijuan Walker and I can only carry over 3 players on reserve. If Hicks does look to be the starter, I can keep him on my active roster and his $5 hit on my auction money won't be too hard to swallow.
I feel that Hicks will start the most games in CF next year but it's anybody's guess if he'll be up for opening day. I guess it depends on how motivated the Twins are about delaying his FA for another year and avoiding super2. They will also have some motivation to showcase Hicks to the casual fan since the Span/Revere trades are being received somewhat negatively by the casual fan.
If he's in the minors when we draft, I can keep him as a 4th reserve player but the clock will start on his contract. Should he become the contributor that you seem to think he will, I would activate him at some point and 2013 would be his 1st contract year regardless.
Regardless of his playing time I would w/o a doubt keep Myers, Bogaerts and Walker over him. Hicks looks like he has Victorino upside but it's more likely that he's a .265, 10HR and 20 SB guy.
I can still keep those 3 and their contracts don't start until I activate them or they lose MLB rookie status. Victorino turned out to be a $20+ outfielder for a few years in this format so I'd be happy with that kind of ceiling.

I can't, for the life of me find it, but I read a comparison a couple days ago comparing hicks' AA season to Andrew McCutcheon's. it was linked from the minneapolis star tribune website. I LOL'd.
