Rays should trade a SP

With the Royals dangling Wil Myers for a top end SP and the way the Rays don't pay and like young upside players they can control for years (now especially with losing BJ Upton) they should trade Shields for Myers straight up. I've heard and read reports where the Royals have shown major interest in doing that sort of deal. It is perfect for both sides as Shields is coming up on the end of his contract and will command money way out of the Rays budget and they need OF help now.

The Rays have a stable full of MLB top talent pitchers: Price, Shields, Hell-Boy, Moore, Archer, Cobb, Davis, Niemann, Torres, and Colome

Need to start shopping some of these elite talent pitchers for players who can help win, love the rays and always have from day one.

Saw Joe Maddon on the MLB network yesterday, the impression I got from him was that you're gonna take an arm away from him at the point of a gun, but I do agree with you they need to move an arm for some offense.
