I posted this same thing earlier but got only 2 responses. Any advice would be helpful. I just made another trade- recieved: Johan Santana gave: Rocky Biddle. The other guy needed saves. This gives me lots of starters. Im looking to trade some away to get more quality ones and other stuff. Any ideas on what to trade for/who to trade would be great.

Rotiserrie style
Scoring is in following categories: runs, rbis, hrs, sbs, avg., wins, saves, k's, era, and whip.

10 teams
I had first draft pick.

I've made one trade-
Given: Nomar and Michael Young
Recieved: A. Soriano and Jake Peavy

Roster:
C-Mike Lieberthal
1B- Richie Sexson
2B- A. Soriano
3B- Morgan Ensberg
SS- Alex Rodriguez
OF- Sammy Sosa
OF- Brian Giles
OF- Jose Guillen
Util.- Melvin Mora
Bench- Kenny Lofton

Pitchers:
SP- Tim Hudson
SP- Roy Oswalt
SP- Woody Williams
SP- Wade Miller
RP- Eddie Guardado
RP- Jason Isringhausen
P- Mark Buehrle
Bench (SP)- Freddy Garcia
Bench (SP)- Mike Hampton
Bench (SP)- Jake Peavy
Bench (SP,RP)- Johan Santana

Any assistance wuold be useful...Im pretty sure its a good squad and Im pretty sure I need sbs and maybe some better starting pitching, but I was wondering how good yall thought it was and who I should trade away for whom. Thanks for any help- Paul

I love your outfield, but you are right when you say you could use some more speed. You are also right when you say you have extra starting pitching to give...Santana will be as good as most any starter you have. Maybe you can get some cheap steals (Alex Sanchez?) to put in your utility spot.
There's a madness to my methods...

I already tried for alex sanchez, but he's taken by the only person in the league who needs steals more than I do. Anyone else have any opinions? also, what do u think of ideas such as trying to trade wade miller and peavy or garcia for k.brown. I got that from a friend. Said a deal like that had gone through in his league. Any other opinions would be great though.

thanks for the help, but this may change what you said. I actually just traded Guardado and woody williams for mariano rivera. So now I have one less SP than I used to and an open spot on my roster. I'm still going to look into trading Santana for Crawford, or something like that.
Seeing as the Braves have won 12 division titles in a row, does that mean that soon they are going to have to start making columns as well???

First, let me talk about the hitting. I think you should scout out some other players at catcher. I would suggest Matt LeCroy (once he's off the DL), Jason Phillips, or Victor Martinez. As for Guillen, Mora and Lofton, I would try to get some younger players or guys with more upside. I feel Guillen and Mora are overrated due to their good seasons last year, and Lofton seems to be the odd man out in NY. I read that they will try to trade him elsewhere.

Your starting pitching is solid. I think Hampton has a real chance to bounce back now that he's been out of Coors for a whole year.

As for relief pitching, Izzy and Mariano seem a bit iffy healthwise. If it's possible, you could trade Hampton or Peavy for a 2nd tier guy such as Kolb or Graves.

You do need steals, but Soriano will help. I would also try to do a Santana for Crawford deal.

Some other candidates:
1. Matt Lawton: appears to be healed, so he could go for 20-20 this season.
2. Milton Bradley: Another 20-20 guy
3. D'Angelo Jimenez: Would have gone for 20-20 or 20-30 if given PT last year.
