this is probably the best lineup in baseball, depending on which Lind shows up, if not D'Armaud and Arencibia, as well as Lewis, Gose can mix in

Rotation
Josh Johnson
Brandon Morrow
Mark Buerhle
Ricky Romero
Kyle Drabek ? or whoever

that is a sick team, my WS early favorites

I just hope we can get a DH. It's a pretty easy position to upgrade. Bullpen is also looking solid with Janssen, Santos, Lincoln, Delabar, Oliver (?) and Esmil Rogers as a wild card. Finally something to be excited about other than spending a week F5-ing MLBTR to see if the Jays won the Darvish bidding :*)

Great deal. Exactly what I wanted to see out of the Jays following that trade. There's very little downside at a price like this for only two years.

That lineup isn't the best in baseball, though, that still goes to the Yankees, Angels, or Rangers (although if Hamilton and Napoli are gone, that takes a hit for sure). Lind is not all he's cracked up to be (and is in fact quite useless overall if he's not being platooned). DH isn't something a team really needs to go out of their way to fix, though. Theoretically, getting an upgrade there or an effective platoon partner for him shouldn't be too hard.

Wouldn't be surprised if he was using PEDs long before 2012.

I'm sure Bautista will hook him up with whatever undetectable substance he's been on the last few years. Melky is going to rake.

Encarnacion and Reyes, too. It's like an all-Dominican steroid ring up there.

Oh come on. The Orioles finally get pretty good, and now the Jays are a competitor in the division. Thank goodness the Red Sox suck.

good signing for the Jays.
the Jays signed Melky for 2 years at $16 MIL. that's $8 MIL a season.
the Tigers signed Torii Hunter for 2 years at $26 MIL. that's $13 MIL a season.
Hunter is 37 years old.
Melky is only 28 years old.
