I remember when the New Zealand national team came to Toronto and played my cousin's team, they were all warned not to make any smartass comments while the kiwis did the haka in front of the dugout before the game. But yeah, it's pretty crazy watching the rugby guys do it.

LMAO. Brazil qualifies over Panama and Colombia. It's quite an accomplishment.

I wasn't aware there was qualifying on TV. That's cool though.

The nationality rules are very lenient in WBC because they want to try to get American players onto as many teams as possible. I remember Piazza playing for Italy, for example.

"Hey Rizzo!! You wanna play in the World Baseball Classic?"

"Ummm, yeah, but our team is stacked."

"No, no. With Team Italy!! Your name sounds Italian. Waddya think?" :-D

And where was Mickey Morandini? And Emilio Bonifacio?!?

As for France...they coulda had Andy Pettitte and Pedro Borbon!! Maybe next time.
