1. Hanley for Nathan Eovaldi blah 2. Heath Bell + $8mil for Yordy Cabrera (i.e nothing) 3. J. Reyes/Josh Johnson/Buerhle for a fistful of lottery tickets and Jeff Mathis
I don't think Loria could attract more snark if he tried. Maybe that's why he's on the big bucks.
Under/over 2 days until people are irrationally high on the Blue Jays?
Don't forget Anibal Sanchez and Omar Infante. They're not superstars, but they're better than anything they have left not named Giancarlo.
I left the Anibal trade out because that one belongs in the non-fraudulent column Jacob Turner is actually a respectable haul for half a season of Anibal and "all-star" Omar Infante. He was considered untouchable for quite a long time if I remember correctly.

I went to Toronto for a Jays game in August, and absolutely loved it... Granted, Miami's beaches give it an inherent advantage over Toronto's winters, I'm sure. But it was definitely one of the coolest 'big cities' I've ever been to.
Oh, and Canadian beers being considered domestic:

Toronto consistently rates higher than any US city in terms of quality of life. I think they'll survive. It's pretty much NYC-lite except without the hurricanes. But yeah, the tax issue definitely sucks for them. Reyes stands to lose about $3.75M over the next 5 years.

Don't be deceived by the posting on this board. In reality Canadians are nice, interesting people.

Speak for yourself, buddy!

This trade made me giddy for a couple days. That Jays lineup is looking sexy as hell now, and the rotation ain't too shabby either. If the O's can make the playoffs surely this team has a legit chance now.
Here's the pitch on the way, a swing and a belt! Left field! Way back! BLUE JAYS WIN!
