Sorry, I should have said "the batter with the highest batting average that also met the minimum AB requirement in the National League". Just seemed a bit long and didn't flow well.

Nailed it.
[In a George Costanza voice] I've looked at that; seems unlikely.
Ecstatic about this trade for the Mets, can't fill the void left by Dickey in the rotation but we desperately need impact bats, can't have Ike Davis as our second best hitter, it's unacceptable. This team still has another year of tanking but Johan and Bay are finally off the books after next season and Wheeler/Harvey will have a full year of MLB seasoning. I'm amazed at what a fantastic job Alderson has done since taking over. Minaya left this team completely destitute - bad contracts, no prospects, Isiah Thomas's baseball counterpart 100%.
I think my favorite part of this whole Jays offseason is the endless possibilities for Dickey and Johnson jokes. The actual players and potential is also pretty cool too.
A Dickey and a Johnson. They should have picked up Youkilis to lighten the load on recently signed Dave Bush. I know it's childish, but I can't help but think back to the Fister-Furbush trade.
