They didn't want the team to overshadow their new stadium. ;-)
If it's obvious it's probably true.

Best comment I've seen.

probably go ahead and fix the title from epic trade to some players names.

it is an epic trade, holy cow.

so what is the Jays lineup going to look like?
maybe this?
1- Reyes SS
2- Bonifacio 2B
3- Batista RF
4- Encarnacion DH
5- Lawrie 3B
6- Arencibia C
7- Rasmus CF
8- Lind 1B
9- Davis/Gose LF

basically?

plus the Jays still have a move to make. they now have catchers John Buck and JP Arencibia along with Travis D'Arnaud.

the Jays still don't even have a manager yet. that job just got a whole lot more desirable.

I submitted my application

My lineup is
Reyes SS
Rasmus CF
Bautista RF
EE DH
Lind 1B
Lawrie 3B
Arencibia C
Bonafacio 2B
Gose/Davis/FA LF

forgot they signed Maicer too, hes utility, SS/2B/3B, with Bonaficio shifting to LF/CF when needed
thats a deep team, Buck on the Bench, D'Armaud waiting at C.

could also put EE at 1B and DH 1 of the Catchers

I like to split up the righties some, against a lefty, Bonafacio and Rasmus flip and Lind and Lawrie as well
