Trout getting robbed is the craziest thing I have seen in a while. Other than Andrus losing twice to Jeter. A close second goes to Jimmy Rollins over 5 other guys.
Adam Jones, Rollins, and Cargo are not good defensive players. Hardy, Headley and McCutchen are good but there were better choices.
Good for Barney. I'm kind of shocked he won cause he was on a bad team, isn't a great hitter and hasn't won it before. Phillips already cleared space for his 2012 GG.
Yadi wins his 5th in a row. Should be 6, stupid Ausmus.
And Heyward was a beast in RF, usually not a defensive position. Nice to see him win.

Don't see the problem with Cano winning, at least according to defensive metrics. If you wanted to complain about silly picks you coulda gone with Adam Jones or Jimmy Rollins.

The Jones pick was, as i think Trout got robbed. I know Cano UZR and DRS were plus, but he never dives for a ball. I just think Pedroia is better.

I'd much rather give an award to a player that has great range without diving for a ball than guys that are slow to react and flop all over the place, or do an on the run jump-spin-throw to first across the whole diamond when they could just plant their foot and throw normally. So - the end, rather than the means.
And what is it about the award for CF and SS? The two most important positions, and they just mangled the voting for them.
McCutchen and Jones are horrible choices. I'm not even talking about Trout getting the award, because he wasn't even the best CF on his own team. There are plenty of other deserving players. In the NL you have Bourn who should have been the most unanimous choice at any position, by far. And he's actually a good hitter, which is what stops most ace defenders from getting GG awards. Boggles the mind.
And then SS. Oh boy. Hardy is not a terrible choice, but what on earth does Brendan Ryan have to do to win an award? He's been the best SS in baseball for quite some time and it's not really a secret. And in the NL you have a trifecta of great shortstops with great range in Crawford/Cozart/Barmes, leading in pretty much every advanced metric, and they go and give it to the aging has-been. OK, he's still a damn good overall player, but wasn't an undeserved MVP enough recognition for the guy?

I've been too mind boggled by who won that I haven't been able to appropriately express my thoughts, so thank you for doing it for me.
