H2H points 16 team league, a lot of categories but in the end the points are split about 55/45 in favor of hitters. This is a weekly league w/ 5 SP slots and 2 RP... hitters have C, 1b, 2b, ss, 3b, 3xOF, dh and util. M. Montero A. Pujols A. Gonzalez J. Kipnis J. Reyes R. Zimmerman A. Jones J. Upton C. Gonzalez M. After you pick those 12, if you want to pick 8 minors, I would appreciate it.

Tough to let Zimmerman go but you have a lot of talent. I could see maybe keeping him over Kipnis but no matter how much hitting out weighs pitching, you can't let any four of those pitchers hit the open market. Only other idea is try and do a 2 - 1 deal but those tend to be hard to pull off but you have a lot of talent that maybe you could make a runt at Cabrera, Trout or Braun.

I don't know enough about all of the minor leaguers to give good advice there. I agree with the above list. I could see dumping Darvish and keeping Zimmerman though.

+1. Zimmerman is much too good to throw back, especially not in order to keep Darvish.
So I can understand wanting to keep Zimmerman but how can you take him over Darvish? 26 year olds with 200K seasons don't come around all that often. He has shown he is good and there is every likely hood that he will get better over the next few years. Zimmerman is nice but he is pretty much a 25 HR guy with 90 RBI and decent BA. All nice but not the kind of player Darvish is likely to be.
If anyone, Kipnis is the guy that gets cut. Good 2B with upside but likely won't put up Zimmerman numbers.
Come draft time next year. Darvish goes before both of these guys.

I'm guessing everyone is saying Zimm b/c we have Olt? You guys have pretty much hit the crux of the argument though... me and my co-owner are basically going to be debating all winner between Kipnis/Darvish/Zimmerman.
It seems that everyone believes Adam Jones' 2012 is legit and repeatable? The more important question maybe is is Darvish's season his peak or just the start of things?
Well, my thought is that you've already got an excellent 1-2-3 punch in Cain/Hamels/Price. Why add another pitcher you really don't need when you can keep a top-5 3B in Zimmerman? Just my opinion of course.

I pick Zimmerman over Darvish because I feel like it's easier to replace the arm than the bat. I have the two players at about the same value. When that happens it's the bat every time. I am super high on Kipnis and would keep him over both players.
