The guy who sits next to me spent a bunch of time last week making sure the payouts were going out properly. I'm not sure what the business side looks like after that, but I know it is underway.

Sounds good, the message in our league said 7-10 days after the league is over but it's been a couple weeks now.

Side note: These pro leagues must be really profitable for Yahoo, I did a 12 team $100 league and Yahoo took a $300 cut

Use LeagueSafe, they pay out 100%. They're just happy to be able to invest your money over the 6 months it sits in their account (and I'm sure most of their profit is from people simply not withdrawing money). There's a small fee if you want them to mail you a check, but for me it was only 1% of my winnings. Much better than 25%.

How do on-shore fantasy sites get around the laws that took off-shore poker sites down?

- I can't speak for everyone
- I am still not a lawyer

That being said...
- Fantasy Sports are not poker. I think that much of the drama/conflict is around games of skill vs. games of chance. Poker undoubtedly retains an element of chance. Fantasy Sports is a more interesting discussion.
- States have different laws/opinions/definitions/etc. etc. We only offer Pro Leagues in a subset of states, because it was deemed that in some states we couldn't safely offer them. The set of states is not consistent across different providers. I don't work for the other providers, and I'm not a lawyer; all we know is what our lawyers told us we could and could not do.
