Weaver/Sabathia for keepers?? WHIR

Definitely not keeping Weaver.. I might be keeping Sabathia, but I'm unsure.

Someone offered me Ian Kennedy $13, Starling Marte $3, and Casey Kelly $3 for the two of them. I like Marte, but don't know about the other two even if I'm not keeping Weaver/Sabathia and the unlikelyhood of getting many better offers given how expensive they are. I was just going to let them go back into the draft pool in February, and target them again.

However, he then said he'd be willing to move Will Middlebrooks $3, or Brett Lawrie $3 as well.


So.. thoughts? A Kennedy/Marte/Middlebrooks or Lawrie group for $19 total a good enough haul for two guys I'm not keeping??

My current keepers are expensive as hell, so I would welcome the cheaper salaries.. but I don't know.

Yep, i would do that deal. I would take Lawrie over Middlebrooks.

I don't like either of those pitchers for those prices. Really of that group Lawrie is probably the only one I would really keep. Kennedy is boderline at $13 and Marte is ok at $3 but I don't believe in him all that much for next year.

Could you get BOTH Lawrie and Middlebrooks?

Went with Lawrie/Marte/Kennedy.

Also traded a $37 Curtis Granderson for $3 Wil Myers and $3 Manny Machado.

Looking at a keeper lineup of:

30 Prince Fielder
37 Ian Kinsler
3 Brett Lawrie
3 Manny Machado
10 Hunter Pence
3 Wil Myers
3 Starling Marte
24 Felix Hernandez
7 Shaun Marcum

And I have $31 Adam Jones, $5 Nick Castellanos, and $13 Ian Kennedy fighting for the last slot. I'm thinking it's a bit TOO reliant on unproven prospects, so I'll see if I can flip a Marte, Castellanos or Machado for something at some point between now and February.. but I'm hoping the Lawrie/Myers pair pays dividends next year.
