Honestly, I'd think about keeping Jones. Profar didn't look all that great in his stint, and at the same time, the Rangers don't have a position for him. Barring a trade, he doesn't play much in 2013.
The earliest returns you're going to get will most likely be in 2014... regardless of how well he hits/runs, I'd rather you keep Adam Jones and roll with Ian Desmond for the next 5 years. I don't see Profar putting up Desmond's numbers for at least 2-3 years.
Agreed. Profar is still fairly raw. Unless they move Andrus in the offseason he'll end up in AAA anyway & be a mid-season call-up. I don't think that you can give up that type of production in the short term.
Make the move for Jones. A common mantra in fantasy sports is to play for next year and not worry so much about what will happen a few years down the road. I like Profar a lot and have him in multiple Dynasty leagues but he is still a few years away from being worth owning even at round 18 price tag.

Jones is the clear choice in my book. He has been slowly developing these last few years, and this year you really saw what he can do, and he could still improve next season. Profar is an elite prospect, to be certain, but I don't see him hitting 30 HR and stealing 15, which Jones did this year. 2 years of that kind of production gives you a good base for winning in the next 2 seasons.
