ARod was my franchise pick 4 years ago in a dyansty league. thank god I was able to trade him for something at midseason. A pair of trades resulted in ARod, Quentin and Arcia for Harvey. That looks pretty awesome now. I'll worry about my Scutaro, YEscobar, mystery man - 2B, SS and 3B situation next year though.
I really hope the Nationals win tonight. Otherwise what is the point? Where is the excitement? I can understand if you are a fan of one of these teams, but I don't see the appeal otherwise...
STL and NYY have both been dominant over the last decade or so. And while DET and SF haven't reached that level of success, they have both won a world series and been playoff staples over the last few years. If the Nationals lose we end up with more of the same. If I had to pick the least appealing NL/AL CS, all four of these teams would be there (along with maybe Boston and Texas); I can't imagine non-fans would want this scenario. All of the interesting teams have been eliminated..

Detroit didn't win their WS but your point stands regardless. I'm a NYY fan so I have a vested interest no matter what, but I completely agree otherwise. I have very little interest in Detroit, SF and STL so the Nats are really the only hope to have a team to root for if the Yankees get knocked out.
Regardless of the outcome, how wild is it that a guy who is owed $150 million still is on the bench during a series deciding game and he isnt injured??
