Here is what is in FA of note (not much but some young talent) I'm thinking about going with youth and going forward after winning 2 of 3 years I limped to a middle finish. My core keepers are aging and I'm going to see if I can trade. I'm not enthused on keeping Nelson Cruz and taking my chances in the draft. I need pitching bad because it let me down this year.
C A.J. Pierzynski, CWS C 1B Adrian Gonzalez, LAD 1B, OF 2B Ian Kinsler, Tex 2B, DH 3B Adrian Beltre, Tex 3B, DH SS Troy Tulowitzki, Col SS 2B/SS Andrelton Simmons, Atl SS 1B/3B Jose Bautista, Tor 3B, OF OF Nelson Cruz, Tex OF OF Michael Bourn, Atl OF OF Jason Heyward, Atl OF OF Desmond Jennings, TB OF OF UTIL Bench Starling Marte, Pit OF (prospect call up) Bench Erick Aybar, LAA SS Bench Yonder Alonso, SD OF, 1B DL DL PITCHERS Cole Hamels, Phi SP Jon Lester, Bos SP Adam Wainwright, StL SP Mike Minor, Atl SP Brett Anderson, Oak SP Matt Moore, TB SP Tim Hudson, Atl SP Ryan Cook, Oak RP Ernesto Frieri, LAA RP Vinnie Pestano, Cle RP Mitchell Boggs, StL RP Ronald Belisario, LAD RP Brian Wilson (adding to DL) - who to drop? (belisario, cook, pestano or boggs?) I think Pestano has an outside shot of closing next year. I'm considering jettisoning all my MRP as options since they are weak keeper options. I need a closer for next year and Brian would be a free keeper for a DL slot as a '16th' keeper (loophole in rules)
FA: Brandon Moss, Garrett Jones, Zach Cozart, Chris Johnson, Lucas Duda, Michael Saunders (potential 20/20 here), Adam Lind, Tyler Moore, Jemile Weeks, Everth Cabrera (more speed), Eric Young,
The best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be!

If you keep 15 I think you keep the bulk of your offense save for C. Your bench is not worth the trouble. For pitching, Hamels, Moore are easy keeps. Wainwright I think you have to keep as hopefully he rounds back into form next season and I would keep Hudson as he is still pretty solid.
As to the last keeper, nothng really is all that appealing. I would not waste the time on the closers or closer wanna bes. I think you choose between Minor, Brett Anderson and Lester or pick up Brandon Moss and take a chance. Lester has the name but he also may be done ala Lincecum imo. Minor does not impress me as he shows signs and then reverts to awfuness. Anderson is decent but unexceptional. Moss might be worth a gamble. I f you can trade Lester and a piece to someone who still believes in lester, that would be the thing to do imo.

This is where I go. Some of the guys looked a little past their prime this year but I think they are still worth keeping.
