Funny thing was after the leadoff hitter popped out to the catcher to start the game my team shot past him in the standings. Was literally one out away from it. Just gotta pray the WHIP stays there. Nats have a little rally going which I don't much like at all...
hopefully you have a couple closers that have clean innings...
OK, gotta hope for a couple saves and/or a WHIP under 1.24 from the bad news bears: J.J. Putz, Sean Marshall, Luke Gregerson, Steve Cishek, Jonathan Broxton, Brad Ziegler, Jon Rauch, and Tony Watson. Nothing like having a championship on the line with a bunch of cobbled together relievers on your side. Hey, maybe with Parnell throwing 25 pitches last night Rauch can vulture a save.

Could the Rangers potentially be playing the Yankees for a 1 game playoff to advance to a 1 game playoff?
EDIT: I don't think so but I am really confused at what happens to the Rangers if they lose today.

If the Rangers lose they are officially a wild card team and would await the result of tonight's Yankees/Red Sox and Orioles/Rays game. If the Yankees win/Orioles lose, Texas plays Baltimore in the play-in game. If the Yankees lose and Orioles win, Yankees and Orioles will play a one-game playoff tomorrow night to determine the AL East winner. The loser of that game will move on to the wildcard play-in game vs. Texas.
