Team A had a solid top end draft I tried to not pick any closers and to use the waiver wire to get them as they popped up. Ended up with Jansen, Frieri, Reed, and a mishmash of others enogh to finish 2nd in saves in the league. When I picked Young and Willingham back to back I was hoping one of them would have a career year, but thought Young would be him. Going to finish 6-7 points ahead of 2nd place here.

After drafting Longoria and Sandoval I wasn't sure if picking Aramis Ramirez was the best fit for my team when he fell to me in the next round, we only get 1 DH, and by picking him my DH was locked up. Luckily with Longoria and Sandoval hurt a lot I had a super good backup all season and never missed a beat. I traded Beltran for Pujols straight up early and the trade went through for me on the day Pujols hit his 1st home run of the season. Being active and selecting a balanced team that competes in every category won me the championship. Rarely did I lose a week, yet I finished the regular season 0.5 behind first and got seeded #2 - the week before the playoffs started was my worst week of the season. I picked up some of the best relievers in the game in Jansen, Frieri, Clippard and Grilli (Check out Grilli's numbers). This league is bench shallow, and I did well carrying only 4 starters most of the year - Bumgarner and Sale where wonderful anchors. Marco Estrada carried me from September on, I had most of all Mike Fiers good games. Even though I traded Beltran at the end of April he still ended up with the second most at bats for an OF on my team, Josh Reddick got the most. I used 25 different OF's and ended up with a nifty combo of Ichiro, Carlos Gomez and Adam Eaton in the championship this week. Picking up Homer Bailey for his no hitter in the championship was huge and without him I wouldn't have this locked up already.

This was one of the most fun roto races I've had. I was tied for first up until yesterday, currently down 1.5 - but I am streaming 8 starers to clinch K's and hopefully wins, so I expect to win (unless 8 starters can't somehow muster 25+ k's and 2 W's. My team BA was as low as .239 a few weeks ago (dead last by a ton - 11th place is hitting .260 lol) when my hitters seemed to all get hot and I leaped over a bunch of people in R and RBI late. What also made this fun was it was a competitive league and I could not pick up closers fast enough, and will finish with only 4 points in saves. I would have locked this one up long ago had I had an extra reliever or two. Even though I'm last in BA I'm going to finish with about 60 more home runs than anyone else.
Besides streaming 8 starters I am also streaming hitters for stolen bases on the final day, 1 behind the next team and another team is 1 behind me. Michael Bourne has already stolen two bases today

This team should finish 1st in a roto league while batting .243 for the season.
