I personally have been leaning towards
1B Rizzo 2 1B Goldschmidt 4 SS Rutledge 2
C Molina 6 OF Heyward 10 OF Bruce 18 3B Lawrie 8 P Cain 22
But Medlen is definitely making this tough.
So you need to choose 3 between the guys you mentioned and then 5 others? In that case I go.....
C Yadier Molina $6 1B Anthony Rizzo $2 1B Paul Goldschmidt $3/$4 2B Jose Altuve $4 SS Josh Rutledge $2 3B Brett Lawrie $8 3B/OF Todd Frazier $5 OF Jason Heyward $10 OF Jay Bruce $18 OF Shane Victorino $11 1B Ryan Howard $10 OF Starling Marte $4 P Matt Cain $22 P Adam Wainwright $18 P Kris Medlen $6
I could see letting Bruce go and keeping Altuve to go super cheap and have a ton of money for the auction.
I'm a fan of Frazier but with his playing time concerns I don't see him as a valuable keeper with Rizzo, Goldschmidt, and Lawrie at my corner positions (especially if I may target Miguel Cabrera as my big buy next year) I'd be interested in why you guys like Frazier so much (or don't like Rizzo)

ALRoto: why Frazier over Rizzo?

I'll be honest, it's a lot of personal preference. I've never been a huge Rizzo guy to begin with. I like Frazier's multi position eligibility for next season, and Rolens contract is up this year. I mainly focus on AL players, but is there someone else that will get the 3rd base job ahead of Frazier next year?
Looking at it, I suppose it is pretty close, and going with Rizzo wouldn't be a mistake in my mind. I would like Gold at 1st, Lawrie at 3rd and Frazier at CI, with the ability to sub in at either 1st or 3rd in case of injury or trade.
Now if you're going to target Cabrera that would make one of Rizzo/Frazier expendable for sure

To me only the last one is in debate. I would go with Wainwright easily if not for the $18 pricetag. At $18, that is a bit much imo for him bat this point imo but I mightjus go with him anyway. Don't like Howard or Victorino anymore as Howard can't stay on the field and Victorino has badly underperformed. You can gamble on the Altuve\Rutledge types, but their prices are no great bargain based on what they likely go for at auction.
