Tough Keepers Choices...Help PLEASE WHIR

Postby yankees25 » Fri Sep 21, 2012 10:05 pm

Ok, so in this league I'm in I can keep 2 batter and 1 pitcher. I already know I'm keeping Strausburg, but the batters is what I'm struggling with.
I'm have to chose between the following players:

Robinson Cano
Edwin Encarnacion
Adam Jones
Josh Hamilton
Mike Trout

Right now I'm thinking Hamilton and Trout, what do you guys think?

Trout is the easy one. I am leaning toward Cano with the other one. What if Texas doesn't keep Hamilton? I could see his value taking a small hit. He's always injured as well. Cano is a much safer pick.

Honestly, I would keep Hamilton and Cano. I have just a gut feeling that trout is going to have a sophmore slump, and even if he doesn't, he won't put up the same kind of numbers again. Hamilton and Cano are much safer while trout is much more risky.

I'm not sure I see Hamilton as that much safer than Trout. Trout's peripherals totally back up what he's doing (you can quibble about BABIP and whatever influence his speed has on it), and his floor looks to me like heaps and heaps of Runs and SB.

I'd rather have Trout/Cano.
