My leagues is a H2H Points League with weekly lineups, I can keep 5 players of the following: The numbers on the sides are the year to date points.
My picks as of now would be: Cano, Trout, Holliday, Kimbrell, Bautista or Teixeiria
Please advise. Thanks!
Mark Trumbo 424.0 Yadier Molina 399.0 Nick Swisher 426.0 Elvis Andrus 425.0 Robinson Cano 523.0 Mike Trout 607.0 Matt Holliday 525.0 Alex Gordon 477.0 Edwin Encarnacion 564.0 Mark Teixeira 411.0 Drew Stubbs 357.0 *Jose Bautista 371.0
Craig Kimbrel 446.7 Rafael Soriano 407.0 Aroldis Chapman 489.3
K. Morales M. Napoli C. Jones M. Trout E. Andrus R. Cano J. Upton M. Holliday N.Swisher (DH) E. Encarnacion (DH)
A. Wainwright Z. Greinke M. Moore C. Kimbrel J. Zimmerman A. Chapman
Imo, Cano, Trout, Holiday, and Bautista are no-doubters. Then you pick one between Kimbrel, Chapman, Andrus, Encarnacion, and Teixeira. Personally, I don't think I'd keep a closer, however good. Probably not Andrus, but I'd have to look at how other ss score in this league. Encarnacion vs Teixeira is a tough call, though. I'd lean towards Encarnacion, tbh.

If you do keep a closer, I'd go with Kimbrel.
Exactly my thoughts. Cano, Trout, Holiday, Encarnacion and Bautista are your top 5. Closers are a dime a dozen.
I'd have to consider Andrus as a 5th hitter if your leagues uses middles and doesn't have many OF starting positions. League settings have to be a consideration here; all hitters with these choices. 425 points so far from a SS who is only going to get better/stronger seems worthy

Sure, he deserves consideration. All of those other players would be third round or better. Andrus won't be.
