So I need to replace Dan Uggla for the stretch run. I play in a H2H league, 10 teams... keeper but I'm not keeping any of these 2nd base replacements. 6x6 cats. Not looking for any particular stat categories, just overall production w/ stolen bases being a tie breaker. The available 2B are:

Neil Walker
Dustin Ackley
Danny Espinosa
Jemile Weeks
Chase Utley
Howie Kendrick
Trevor Plouffe

Which of these guys is hot? Who's the best? Which one is my guy? Thanks!! ;-D

Espinosa is hot right now, and he's an everyday player. I think it's a toss-up between him and Kendrick. Espinosa accumulates more plate appearances, but in general he'll run a little more hot-or-cold than Kendrick on a week-to-week basis. I look at it as a contributor (Kendrick) vs a guy who could help or hurt you in any given week (Espinosa). Also check out the schedule -- first, for # of games, also for splits. Kendrick has very even splits, Espinosa tends to hit lefties a little better.

Also, Utley's been pretty good lately, he's been about .265/.380/.445 since the beginning of August. (Guesstimating the averages -- I'm not doing the math.) I sort of wrote him off this year, so I haven't been paying a lot of attention, but he seems to be a decent option. Maybe someone who's been following him closely can say something more useful. Those are the 3 I'd consider.

Espinosa has been very solid since the ASB & has gained SS eligibility as well. He'd be my choice.

I want someone playing meaningful games, Utley is that right now. Walker is hurt, Weeks lost his job. Espinosa isn't a bad option either but he might get some days off the final couple weeks too. I'd take Walker ahead of all of these if he comes back healthy, but right now he's not an option. I'd check for off days Monday & Thurs; even adding and dropping the 3 options listed above on a day 2 day basis

Just want to say that I agree with the part about Walker. He'd be my pick if he were healthy, but his status is too much up in the air.
