Kenley Jansen

I have Kenley Jansen on my team, and I fully understand that he is out til the 17th and why...but is he going on the DL or not?! Can't the Dodgers put him on the 15 day DL retroactively or is he not considered injured? Or has too much time passed????...looking for clarity so I can move forward with the playoffs approaching....

after Sept 1st most teams don't put players on DL after the rosters expand; if they haven't yet they probly won't

Personally i think they are going to be careful with him even when he comes back. When your talking blood thinners and heart issues i am not expecting him to be closing every game even when he comes back. Ive decided not to stash him for playoffs in most of my leagues. It might depend on your particular league and the other teams in the playoffs if its worth it to stash him for 11 days and use a bench spot or not. good luck!

Thanks! I should've known that... Now I just have to figure out whether or not I can win my first round matchup without that roster spot. I did draft him, but I also own Soriano and Rodney, (and gregerson for the time being) so it's not like I'll be starved for saves. It's a quandary.
