Who will be the 2013 version of Adam Dunn?

Postby Saltydog » Thu Sep 06, 2012 10:50 am

Who will be the most likely to revert back to norm after an abysmal 2012?

Not a "breakout" of a prospect but someone that's just had a very rough year and will be a buy low target for 2013?

It would probably be better to try to identify those veterens who WON'T revert back to their norms. In most cases if you are a veteren player with a track record and he has a down year, he'll revert back the next year to his norms. It seems to be more of a surprise if they stay down and remain crappy.

Dunn didn't just have a down year. He had a historic collapse and wasn't rosterable last year. I can't think of a healthy player having a year like that.

Peter Bourjos is the closest I can think of but he doesn't have nearly the track record.

Rickey weeks- he was terrible the first half and has been hot as of late. Im expecting that to boil over to the start of 2013.

Yeah. I'll be in trouble next season as well if he doesn't rebound. 0.271 isn't horrible, but if I were to expect a down season from him I would be more inclined to think that the average would sub 0.250, but the power would still be there (20-25 at least). This 12 HR crap is killin' me.

It's going to be Dan Uggla. In 2011 I drafted Dunn in the 4th round and he was absolute garbage, this year, Dan Uggla, 4th round, absolute garbage. I fully expect Ian Kennedy and Anibal Sanchez to be absolute monsters next year on the mound but I won't be drafting them again either.
