Konerko, what gives?

Postby gatornuggets » Sun Sep 02, 2012 11:52 am

Does anyone have faith in Konerko the rest of the way? He is a shell of his earlier season self.

Am I crazy to consider replacing him with the likes of Rizzo, Hosmer, or Chris Carter? Carter doesn't even play everyday but his stats are better than Konerko over time. One has to figure that batting 4th in the lineup would result in more stats for Konerko but he hasn't played will since coming back from the wrist injury.

Problem is, I don't really have space for him to just sit on my bench and wait. Both of my probable play off opponents stream pitchers all week resulting in a ton of starts.

Does anyone still believe?

I do. They need him to play well. Unless you hear that he can't play due to his wrist, consider Rizzo.

Help with mine?

I doubt we will hear anything about his wrist before the end of the season. I am thinking it may just be causing him to make some slight adjustment that has thrown off his mechanics.
