Rangers put Jordan on DL

Postby WebHamster » Sun Apr 04, 2004 9:52 am

Arlington, TX (Sports Network) - The Texas Rangers have placed outfielder Brian Jordan on the 15-day disabled list due to a sprained medial collateral ligament in his left knee. The move is retroactive to March 27.

Jordan caught a spike in the batter's box during a spring training game against Oakland on March 24. The 37-year-old hit .299 in 66 games for the Dodgers last season.

Jordan joins relief pitchers Brian Shouse and Jeff Zimmerman on the DL to start the season.

Well it was just a matter of time, but i hope that Jordan can come out and put up some big numbers. In the past he has been able to put up some nice numbers, but seemed to falter after leaving the Braves, in a trade of Sheffield, for Jordan which turned out in the Braves favor.
