Pence or Ross - ROS - WHIR

Postby Tosabigdog » Thu Aug 30, 2012 8:23 am

5x5 11 team keeper league, $310 cap

Trying to hold on to the lead going into the last month. Not getting much out of Pence ($28) since he went to SF. Don't plan on keeping him. Drop him now in favor of Ross ($1)? Can use help in all but SB.

Neither guy is too exciting. I guess that if you're in rebuild mode you could take a shot with Ross, but I would prefer to drop a lesser player than Pence.

It really depends on your roster. Who else are your droppable options. Pence is waaaayyy overrated in my opinion (seen him a lot being a Phillies fan), so I don't have a ton of heartburn in dropping him, but Ross is nothing special either. Might be a case of ride the hot hand. I know Pence is ice cold right now, so not an awful idea to make the change, esp if you won't be keeping him. Does the $ value impact this season at all (i.e. does it free up cap space to do something big this year)?
