I feel the same but is cliff Lee on a decline, the record is bad but the numbers aren't to bad, though the earned run average is a little high.

Lee's is still posting a very solid metrics.
xFIP - 3.13
SIERA - 3.09
It doesn't match what he did last season, but his 2011 ERA was aided by an 81.4 LOB%. The xFIP & SIERA numbers above are more indicative of how he has actually performed in terms of 'ERA'.

I take Lee side of this deal. His wins are down, and he hasn't been as lights out as in years past, but his numbers are still very good. He's giving up a few more homers than in past years, which is likely just a location issue that can be corrected, but his other metrics are solid and in line with prior years (K/BB for example). Go with lee and don't look back.

Don't like either side much but I'd go Lee.

I'd take Lee for sure. As others have pointed out, Lee has pitched much better than his numbers indicate this season, and he will rebound next year.
Help with mine?:
