TRADE ADVICE

Postby troutfan87 » Wed Aug 29, 2012 9:14 am

I could use a pitcher to finish the year as I have a few injuries and Bundy is still in the minors. It's not a big deal, though, because I'm in 6th out of 12 and am in rebuilding mode.

However, there is a team that is way over innings limit and he's in 3rd this year so I might be able to get a pitcher cheap from him for some of my bats.

The guys I am interested in are Matt Harrison and Wade Miley.

The guys I would be willing to give up are Ben Revere and Michael Morse.

Is this worth looking into? Or should I just stay pat for next season?

My team is listed below. 12 team, keeper no limits, points league.
Keeper League/Points:
C-Jesus Montero
1B-Fielder/Rizzo
2B-Pedroia/Ackley
3B-Lawrie/Moustakas
SS-As Cabrera
OF-Trout/Myers/Marte/Taveras/Revere/Morse/Prado
SP-Moore/Bundy/Dan Hudson/Pineda/Hanson/Haren/Fister
RP-Jansen/Wilhelmson

as much as i would like to say get go get Harrison for Morse/Revere, you're deeper at SP than you are OF. who's a more valuable keeper out of those 4 - Harrison, Miley, Revere or Morse. i would say Harrison. so, get the best guy going into next year, that's Harrison. not sure if i made sense, but i would get Harrison for either of those guys, preferably giving up Morse.

Harrison and/or Miley were likely both picked up off of the wire this season, right? Whereas Morse cost a healthy pick. I would not deal Morse for either guy because pitching is so easy to find cheaply. There will be a new group of pitchers next season with that will be the new Miley/Harrison. Why pay for it? Morse at least has top 100 potential. If you just can't contain yourself, then I would go after Harrison. But Revere likely isn't enough to get either. You could try,
