2013 Keepers Influencing Trade

Well, although I was told I had the best team again by many people, injuries and ridiculous things happened and I am sitting out of the playoffs of a 10-team league.

The league has 3 keepers and I have 1 keeper for sure in Miguel Cabrera.

I also have Carlos Gonzalez, Madison Bumgarner, Roy Halladay, and James Shields that are my other worthy keepers.

Now because I am out of the playoff hunt, I figure I can trade CarGo along with 2 of the pitchers to a team in the playoffs in return for an elite player like Braun, Trout, Hamilton, etc... that I will keep for 2013.

If I do this, I figure Halladay will be 1 of the pitchers...who should be the pitcher I keep. Bumgarner or Shields?

Easily the NL pitcher.

I would keep Baumgarner, too, without question. I think he is borderline top-five next year.

if you can pull off the trade which isn't always as easy as it appears then Bum is your keeper

Okay thanks guys...I've been following baseball for a while but this is year 1 of fantasy so I wasn't sure on Bumgarner like I would of been if it was football...I hope the trade goes through with someone though because it will set me up for next year. Thanks again
